Home shoe dying
One way to extend the life of a favorite pair of shoes that have got a bit scuffed is to dye them. Flat ballet pumps like these are a wardrobe staple. And oh so comfortable.
So when this pair started to look tired I had them dyed black.
You can buy shoe dye kits and do the job yourself. The key to success is to make sure the shoes are clean and free of greasy marks. The reason I chose to have this pair professionally dyed is because they have fabric edging and I wasn’t confident the shoe dye would work on fabric. It must have or they could have used fabric dye on that part of the shoe. Either way, my shoes have been given an extended life.
