Straw Bag
This straw bag is made from two IKEA round place mats. You could use square ones or use place mats made from something else to make this easy bag. Here’s how I made this one.
You need: –
- 2 x place mats
- matching colour thread
- Strap for the handles
- pins
- sewing machine
You do: –
Measure how long you want your straps to be. Allow extra for you to sew them on to the bag. Maybe even a bit more to be safe – you can always cut away excess.
Then pin the straps to your two place mats. Place them on top of each other to make sure you’ve pinned them the same distance apart.
Sew straps in place. Pin two place mats on top of each other and sew them together leaving enough space open at the top to use the bag.
Couldn’t be simpler to make.
