New Look Kimono Jacket
I might have mentioned a while back that a friend’s mother went into a care home. She was an avid seamstress and had a pile of fabric which I inherited. I made a pair of culottes from this fabric as well a New Look Kimono Jacket. I tend to like New Look patterns. Not sure why but I just do.
You need: –
- fabric
- mathcing colour thread
- sewing pattern
- sewing machine
- sewing scissors
- pins
You do: –
Cut out your jacket using your pattern and fabric.
Pin shoulders and sides together. And pin facing pieces together. Make sure right side of fabric faces inwards.
Sew sides together and shoulders together. Sew facing pieces together. Press seams open with an iron. Now pin facing to jacket.
Sew facing in place. Fold facing over and press seams with an iron. Hem the lower edge of jacket and the edges of the sleeves.
Voila! Your summer work jacket is ready to wear with your summer work culottes. See how to make them on – http://www.greeniedressesforless.com/2018/05/culottes-tutorial.html
Have a great green week.
Greenie.
