Infinity Scarf
My mother gave me this piece of fabric and I saw an Infinity Scarf coming from it straight away. Luckily it fitted twice around my head and was wide enough. An Infinity Scarf is a great way to use up a left-over piece of fabric. Or you can sew fabric pieces together, provided the patterns match up. Scarves are a great way to add a pattern or a pop of colour to an outfit.
You need: –
- my fabric was 1.2 metres x 1.5 metres
- matching colour thread
- hand sewing needle
- pins
- sewing machine
You do: –
Sew the long edges together.
Then join the other two edges together leaving a piece open so you can turn the scarf inside out.
Finally hand sew the open space edges together.
And just like that you have a lovely new Infinity Scarf.
Have a great green week.
Greenie.
Hi, I am in New Zealand. I love your sewing ideas. For this infinity scarf, I went to the local clothing recycle shop and tried different evening dresses wrapped round my neck. I chose a funky dress, not too floppy, so it will convert and look a lot like your example photo. This was $10 to buy and makes a lovely project to get ready for winter.
love your idea i am going to make this for my bff b day present
