I have a bit of an obsession with rocks and crystals. They have powers we know of like a silicon chip in your computer to the more esoteric properties such calming energy emitted by rose quartz. Diamonds aren’t an accidental choice for an engagement ring. Knowledge of it’s qualities have been passed down over centuries. Even if you’re on the fence about mystical energy, stones are simply beautiful anyway. I cannot resist a rock shop.
This pretty piece of Aventurine came with a hole in it. I happened to have some silk embroidery thread. This silk and stone necklace is such a quick easy DIY. Aventurine is reputed to bring prosperity. What’s not to like?
You need: –
- rock/stone with a hole in it
- silk embroidery thread
You do: –
Measure how long you want your necklace to be. Allow a bit extra to tie a knot. Cut silk cord.
Slip cord through the hole. Tie near the stone to stop stone sliding around. And tie the ends.
Voila! A special stone necklace.
More next week.
