Ribbon covered bracelet

Fabric wrapped bangle

I really wish I could remember where I first saw this idea. I can’t claim credit for it. But I love it.
Like many people I did rather over invest in bangles the last year or two. I got a lot of them.

This cute idea allows you to take fabric strips as I did, or ribbon and wind it tightly around the bangle to give it a new lease on life. That is an old sheet that I tore into thin strips to use for the bangle make-over. The cotton sits nicely on the bangle and doesn’t slip.

I tied a really tight knot and you can see the loose ends are about to get cut. So if you need custom coloured bangles, here is one way to get them.

There are lots of pics of tutorials to sew and upcycle and knit and crochet your own clothing and accessories in the Greenie Galleries at the top of this page.

See you in seven days.

Greenie.
