Black shift, chain necklace and charm bracelets

My model gets a 100% eco score today. Everything she is wearing is home-made. The shift dress goes back to earlier posts. I showed the original H and M dress that was the inspiration and how I cut a pattern from the dress. See here – how to cut a pattern for a shift dress.

I made it in a few colours but black, seen here, is probably my most freqently worn version. For the story as to how I made the dress read this post – how to sew shift dress.

The multi chain necklace was Givenchy inspired. I made it in this post – how to make Givenchy style necklace.

The charm bracelets also go back a while. It was called a mantra bracelet because I used dog tags which were stamped with words or mantras. I showed how I made the bracelet on the left here – how to make a charm bracelet.

Today’s outfit is fairly simple. And sometimes simple is just right. Another day, over the top feels good. That’s what is so great about getting dressed every day. It’s an expression of how you are feeling.
