How to make a fabric rosette

Rosette

This rosette is so easy to make. The picture shows it all. I did not make this particular one but it’s one of my favorites.

You need a long narrow piece of fabric or ribbon. In the photo, you can see the fabric was folded in half to conceal the rough outer edges. However frayed edges could also give a soft distressed feel to this project.

You roll the fabric or ribbon up in a spiral. Take a needle and thread and sew the bottom ends together to stop the fabric rolling back open. Then attach an safety pin or a brooch pin to the back. You could stitch a few beads right in the centre to make it a bit more authentic. And you’re done!
