Teardrop wire bead earrings
Easy bead earrings |
In today’s post I am showing a pair of earrings my daughter made for me on the right. See how they were made here make your own bead earrings Inspired by the pair she made, I made a pair myself. See the earrings on the left. I wanted earrings in a particular green. Trust me to do that!
I used fine silver wire and clear glass beads. The beads proved to be fairly heavy so I opted to half fill the wire. After loading the beads onto the wire, I twisted it together and bent the top end around an O-ring. The O-ring was added to a shepherd’s hook style ear piece. They should know all those terms at your local bead shop.
I was a bit unsure whether the fine wire would be strong enough to hold it’s shape, but it does. Now you could, just to do something completely different, use one large bead only. It would have to be something interesting to have some impact. I have seen some amazing metal beads and coins that might work.
