Twisted bead necklace |
In my last post I was on about how I am trying NOT to buy the latest this or must-have that. I’m not going to tell a lie. It’s hard resisting gorgeous things out there. I am tempted to spend all the time. I swear the shops are designed to provoke that – can’t live without this item – instinct. What keeps me strong, most of the time, is my desire to make greener choices. And also I find it hard to justify ANOTHER pair of shoes in an already full wardrobe.
I thought I would show a different version of the twisted bead necklace. In the last post I used a string of multi-colour beads. Here, I used a string of white onyx and a string of malachite beads. Luckily they are the same length so I could wrap them around each other easily. See previous post for the how to.
Recognise the flower brooch? That was shown a few posts back. I used up left over fabric and beads to make them.
The Greenie Galleries at the top of this page have 100s of photos of older and newer projects showing multiple ways to make your own clothing and accessories. There are also ideas to recycle or upcycle.
See you soon.
