Upcycling trousers

I am so loving Isabel Marant’s winter rockabilly look. And what’s even better is the three quarter leg look is dead easy to achieve. Fold a deep turn-up in a straight or narrow leg trouser. Et voila!

If you are sure you will love the look forever, cut the trouser leg at a three quarter length. Then you can finish it by making a cuff or putting in a hem. Or you could even leave the raw edges for a slightly distressed look.

Isabel styles her pants with biker jackets, denim jackets or baseball jackets. I think you can get away with just about any jacket. For our warmer weather I would wear a waistcoat. I want to try folding up a pair of leggings to see if that will give a sleeker version of this look.
