Stone bead necklace

More glass and crystal beads a la the last post. The beads or crystals come in strings or bags so I often end up with more than I need.

Mixing them up like this uses up the leftovers.
To make sure I end up with some type of flow or balance between the colours, if I can call it that, I count them out and then lay them out first. A multi layer strand like this makes a long line on the floor.

The bead shop here sells proper thread that comes with a fine needle attached to one end. It makes it so much easier to thread the beads.

Once the beads are all threaded, but before knotting the thread, I make sure the rope is not too loose, or too tight. Knot it well and I dab some glue to the knot to make sure it doesn’t ever come loose.
