Sew a box shape jacket

In previous posts I have said that I am not a great seamstress.
To make sewing easier, I only buy patterns that come marked EASY or are from the EASY section of the pattern catalogue.

This particular Chanel inspired jacket is one such pattern. No collars or cuffs. No lining. And no button holes. Button holes are my worst. I can’t see them under the sewing machine foot and they always come out wrong.

To avoid having to line the jacket I make sure I use a firm fabric. In this case I used upholstery fabric. And the great thing about upholstery fabric is the range of designs available. This floral design is right up my street.

Recognise the layered chains from a few posts back?
