DIY pashmina

In the picture is a wrap around shawl. I bought this warm, wide piece of fabric on the streets in India.

In fact I bought a few similar pieces. The Indians wear them like we wear jackets or jerseys. It’s a lot like a pashmina but it’s not made of mohair.

They are perfect for travelling or for a night out when you are not sure of the weather. You pick a piece of fabric and make sure they cut it to include a complete replica of any design or pattern that may be on the fabric. You should find similar fabric at your local Indian market.

Then simply pull the loose threads on each end to fray the edges.
And there you have a cute new shawl!
