Fabric bag tutorial

This sling bag is yet another easy item to make. It consists of two rectangles of fabric. I will show the pattern pieces and how to stitch them together tomorrow.

The one thing that is so rewarding about making your own clothes is that you can make items to suit your preferences. If you have a particular wardrobe palette and wish to keep your colours within that colour range, you can.

It takes so much time to wade through shops and hunt down what you are looking for. And then to leave empty handed always leaves me feeling so disappointed.

This bag requires a firm fabric such as a bull denim or canvas. Make sure you use a needle for stitching heavy weight fabrics.
