Hair flower corsage

This is a take on Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex and the City corsage. Her stylist – Patricia Field – is brilliant at mixing designer and vintage pieces in quirky but always classy ways.

This was a hair ornament but a bit big for my head. I cut off the elastic and hand-stitched a brooch pin to the back so I could wear it on a jacket.

You could do it the other way around and take a corsage and turn it into a hair ornament. Cut off the pin and sew on a hair elastic.
Our local fabric supply store has loose fabric flowers as does the wholesale supply store for florists.

If flowers are your thing you can get seriously creative.
