Fabric waist tie
Here is another way to wear these skinny scarves. In the picture is a shift dress I made for hot summer evenings.
I made the pattern too but I wouldn’t recommend making your own patterns if you have limited sewing skills. I did it because I couldn’t find a pattern that had what I was wanting in a shift dress and I was determined to make this dress.
The scarf wraps around the waist to make a belt. The length of the scarf will be important if you would like to wear them like this.
The beads I bought from the Congolese traders at Green Market Square. They are malachite. I just love malachite.
