Cloth bag sewing tutorial

The instructions for this bag are – here – and also – here. I’ve made it a good few times.

My favourite sling bag in a different green. It’s probably a bit obvious by now that I do like green.

Hopefully you can see from the picture how the bag gathers up at the shoulders to form a sort of strap. The proportions could be modified to make the bag shorter or wider.

It’s a fairly substantial bag as it is, so I wouldn’t meddle with the proportions too much. But a petite person may want a slightly smaller version.

That’s what is so nice about making your own clothes and accessories. You make them as you would want them.

I rounded the bottom corners of this particular bag to get a slight curve to the edge.

How about an evening version in a silver fabric? Or a fabric with a silver thread?
