DIY fashion outfit
You cannot possibly get an easier item than this to make. I wanted an aqua come mint green scarf to go with a jacket I have. I could not find one.
So I decided to make my own. There is no sewing or hemming involved. There is nothing to do other than find the right colour and type of fabric and fray the edges.
Make sure the fabric isn’t too wide or you will drown in the scarf. This is a lightweight cotton. I would also avoid heavy dense fabrics that do not drape.
All I did was wrap the fabric around my neck to check the appropriate length and make sure it fell nicely. I asked the fabric shop assistant to cut that length and no more. At home I pulled a few threads at each end to gently fray the edges a bit. That was all there was to it.
