Easy DIY harem pants

Harem pants

I have shown this idea before. It’s an easy way to make regular trousers into harem style trousers. In this link how to make Turkish pants I used a pair of citi shorts. The idea is to insert elastic into the casing of the hem and then gather the hem to create a harem style effect. I found a nice big wool needle with a large eye that can feed elastic easily. A safety pin will do the trick as well.

This same idea has been shown in a skirt and a coat to make a bubble shaped hemline. It’s so easy. And what’s nice is that if you  want to original shape back, you remove the elastic.

The fur gilet is not fur. I would never wear fur. The satin camisole is one I made right at the outset of this blog. The clear acetate bangles are a mix of bargain and one is a Phillipa Green designer cuff.

Nice way to get myself a new, New Year outfit at no cost at all.
